Poodle Parade

Hello Blipfriends!
Dolly reporting!

Today was a very important day! And I'm so glad I was there to share it with Alice! Yesterday she and I both had to have baths because TODAY was her annual puppy reunion!!!

Every year Alice's Kennel Mum holds a reunion and LOTS of poodles who were born there - lots of Alice's 'relatives' - come back and they have a picnic and there's generally lots of manic running around and wrestling with each other.

So off we went today and drove about an hour through beautiful Swedish countryside. When we got to the picnic place there were about 25 poodles there. They were mostly black or brown with a couple of grey ones too. I was the only apricot poodle and maybe the only one not in their gene pool! I was definitely the oldest. Alice's sister was there as well as her poodle mum and poodle grandma. Even her grandma is only 10 years old!

We had a nice picnic in the sunshine. I mostly sat and enjoyed watching all the younger poodles running around. Some of them came to greet me but were all very gentle - maybe they could tell I was an old lady? Alice ran around like a maniac - well, she IS only 2 and a half after all! The humans seemed to be quite impressed that I was there, that me and Mum had come from England, and that I am as old as I am!

At one point I decided to wander around a bit and two others joined me and we had a little Poodle Parade.

Alice and I were both very tired when we got home. So were our mums. So they decided to go pick up some sushi for dinner instead of cooking. And of course Alice and I got more Lickin' Liver Ice-Cream!

Alice's version of today can be read here.
