Afternoon Walk
Having stayed up later than we intended watching the Olympics last night, we all slept later than we might normally have done. BB and I headed out to the supermarket for a couple of things – walking so we could look for Pokémon. He found one!
I then had to come home and pack an overnight bag and a packed lunch for BB, as he was heading off to Newcastle with a friend to go to the football. TT has told me that Newcastle lost. BB won’t be too worried as he doesn’t support them, nor does he support Huddersfield – the winners. TT on the other hand was over the moon, as his team had a great start to the season, beating Leicester
After lunch TT and I drove over to Dirleton and walked along the John Muir Way to North Berwick, coming back to Dirleton along the beach. The walk to North Berwick was lovely as we had the wind behind us, but coming back we were walking right into the wind. While in North Berwick I got two free day tickets for our new bus service which starts tomorrow. First Bus recently announced that they were pulling out of East Lothian, but luckily other companies have come along to fill the gap.
We got home feeling totally wind blasted and weary (me anyway), had a quick turnaround and then headed out for a meal with friends. A lovely evening, with good company rounded off the day.
Here’s a blip from our walk back along the beach.
