Derelict Sunday - Vandalism

We seem to have had a spate of vandalism in the village recently. Probably to do with the long school holiday.

I noticed that some of the fencing at the boundary of the woods has been smashed up and burnt and today I found more evidence of mindless vandalism. The bottle bank bins have been destroyed by fire - so now we will have to lug our bottles to the tip or to a supermarket. This has occurred since Friday evening as they were fine then.

The bus stops have always been targets for vandals and the transport authority have long since stopped putting toughened glass back as they were here every few weeks. They replaced the panels with thick perspex - and now some idiot has decided that it would be fun to try and put it through. I suppose next we will be getting the metal mesh reinforced perspex panes like they use in many other parts of Leeds.
