Today we met with the good people of St Mary's, Great Baddow before visiting the Summer Exhibition at the RA. “There shall be an Annual Exhibition of Paintings, Sculptures and Designs, which shall be open to all Artists of distinguished Merit.” A quote from the beginnings of the RA. The Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest open entry exhibition and has taken place every year since 1769. We couldn't agree on a favourite entry so here's a blip of Sir Joshua Reynolds, standing tall outside Burlington House, home of the Royal Academy.
