Slow Sunday.
Stayed up until 3.45 am as we couldn't tear ourselves away from watching the Olympics so am a bit tired today.
Have loved spending more time in the garden on this whistle stop visit home before we go back to Wales. Have decided to blip flowers for these three days to remind me of what l'm missing.
This blue hydrangea is one of the four l have, the mauve and pink ones are also in flower but the white one, whilst having plenty of green leaves shows no sign of flowers this year.
Garden is positively buzzing with bees l'm pleased to say.
Dug up some Charlotte potatoes and picked some beans, brocolli and courgettes for dinner tonight.
Forgot to strip the gooseberry bush before we we went away but miraculously they are all still there so will be making a pudding with some of them and freezing the rest.
Nipped into Ilkley to the Continental Market which was as vibrant as l've ever seen it and bought some creamy garlic mushrooms that looked and smell delicious, will pour that over a couple of chickenbreasts.
Then more Olympics but definately not another late night.
Mind you it's the blue ribbon event at three in the morning, what the betting Mr P will suggest setting the alarm for then so we can see the 100 metre final!
