Handa

We reluctantly left Clachtoll to wobble along the Drumbeg road towards Kylesku. I won't be repeating that in a hurry (in a campervan). The double black arrows on the map were not inaccurate, and when we met a car descending the hill we were straining up in 2nd gear, I was not happy.

We caught the first boat from Tarbet to the nature reserve of Handa Island to check out the Great Stack (extras) and avoid being Bonked by the Bonxies (extras). Sadly the last of the Puffins had already left for the season and it was just the smelly fulmars on the ledges.

Next we continued to Durness, parked the van. I caught the bus back south to Kinlochbervie before rejoining my Cape Wrath Trail route from 2015 and walked to Sandwood (extras).
