Day 226 of 366 - Hook-a-Duck!
Today's image was taken this afternoon in the Warwickshire village of Stoneleigh. The view is of the finishing line of the annual village Duck race. Held every year. Tickets for the many hundreds of numbered Rubber Ducks are sold off in the hope of having the fastest duck in the race. All the rubber ducks are released at the main bridge at the edge of the village. Then they float down the river Sowe to a foot bridge at the other end of the village which is the finish line. This is where the image shows a villager hooking the winning Duck from the river.
PS: Neither myself or my daughter won but it was a fun day out in the village.
The photo was taken using the app ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I cropped the image, then applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I decreased the highlights to help bring out extra detail in the clouds. I also boosted the saturation, contrast and ambiance. Next I used the app ShockMyPic to apply a painterly feel to the image. Finally I used Laminar Pro to apply the Craquelure texture and the Snap Stack border.
