Carrickfin Beach

I don't know where RP1 was today, but darap and I saw much better weather. So good it was that we didn't even have to repair to the airport for the promised cup of hot chocolate to warm us up. In fact, the water was so warm that we stayed in and frolicked in the waves for 20 minutes or more. A terrible fishing trip (empty-hooked) but a very nice paddle later. I called a halt to proceedings when I saw the waves reaching to my head. I think that's perfectly reasonable, given my general lack of expertise in getting out of an upside-down kayak. Not that I'm not brilliant at it--that's totally possible--but that I haven't done it in about 20 years.

Visiting delegation from the south of France arrived today.
