The visiting 9 year old twins enjoyed racing each other in the “Rolling Haggis” zorbs.  Apparently it was not easy but they had fun after exploring the new playground activities at Dalkeith Park. Then we discovered that there were horse trials so we marvelled at the agility of the horses on the cross country course and show jumping before returning to the play area but it was extremely crowded so we returned home for a rest.   As it had been pouring on Friday they wanted to return to Edinburgh to see the street entertainers and a couple of other things including a show with a very accomplished magician and despite all the events being free we were very happy to contribute donations.  It was almost midnight when we arrived home with the tired but happy children.
