Spitfire!

What a wonderful day!

After more family arriving we all headed off to the Battle Proms at Highclere Castle (where they film Downton Abbey). A hugely patriotic evening with much flag waving.

Took way too many photos, but what else can you do when there are cavalry displays, fireworks and a spitfire flypast. For me the spitfire flying around while Elagar's Nimrod Variation was being played by the orchestra was amazing.

All topped off with wonderful results from the Olympics. The cheers from the concert goes (and flag waving) as the three results from this evening were announced showed just how much everyone has gotten behind the games.
