Homeward Bound

Daughter and co left at 6am for their ferry from Caen to Portsmouth, so we got the house tidied up before our departure at 8am. Our crossing was Dieppe to Newhaven. The blip is from the boat as we approached England. White cliffs miles from Dover.

We had an easy drive to St Albans where we are staying tonight with our friend Eira. Sadly we'll miss seeing her husband who is in Ireland watching motorbikes racing but in his absence Eira showed us his new paintings. I love his work but it is out of our price league - David Bowie had some in his collection.
