Thief!

At the table next to ours this gull was helping itself to half a scone: it had waited nearby until the table was vacated and then lost no time in moving in. But I suppose you could say that the gull was doing its bit to minimise waste - the scone would have ended up in the bin otherwise. It came back for another raid before the table was cleared.

This was at Greywalls Hotel just outside Gullane where T and I were celebrating my birthday from Thursday with afternoon tea. It was great to be able to sit outside, even if things did fly about a bit in the breeze. The gardens were looking lovely, full of colour.
