Fika!

After a good night's sleep, me and Dolly (and our mums) were ready for new adventures. We packed a picnic of coffee and cinnamon buns and headed for the bird lake. It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny. We started by going into the small hide where you can watch birds without them noticing. There were special dog observation openings (mum says she doesn't really think they were).

We went on to the platform where I often have my picture taken and then to my favourite picnic spot! We enjoyed our picnic, both me and Dolly loved the cinnamon buns! Then our mums were boring and nearly fell asleep in the sun. I got an extra walk and also tried to recover food crumbs from the swan poo-covered area under the picnic deck. Heidi unintentionally found a geocache if you can believe that, and then we all climbed up into the observation tower before we went back home. A great outing!

And guess who we met when we got home? Nellie! And her mum. So my friends got to meet each other!

Tomorrow being the puppy reunion day, and me having earned a bath according to mum, it didn't come as a surprise to me when my bowls and my towel came out. Bath time! And guess what?! Dolly was also given a mini bath! Neither of us was exactly happy about it. But we did get Lickin' Liver ice cream later, which sort of made up for it. Big day tomorrow!
