Plus ça change...

Despite being dug out and having decking installed on top of them, a few of these plants continue to insist on flowering just outside the back door.  Some are now flowering in the veg garden (where I shifted some tubers more in hope than expectation) and some on the grassy knoll, which is partly made up of the soil excavated to allow for the decking, so that makes sense.  They look very fragile, with thick fleshy stems, but seem to take any amount of punishment and still come back, flowering abundantly.

A slightly stressful shopping trip today to buy beef, white fish and sesame seeds to add to yesterday's coconut and make the unholy quadrumvirate for CarbBoy's allergy tests tomorrow.  Stressful because we have spent ten years trying very hard to avoid sesame seeds, and because the packet I bought exploded on the supermarket checkout, sending tiny seeds of destruction everywhere.  TallGirl and I (CarbBoy happily was not around) totally panicked - much to the surprise of everyone around us.  We accepted a replacement packet and left in a hurry.

There was very much excitement from the kids when the school equipment arrived.  I think they may be getting bored with the holidays...
