GOLD!
Had a fun day out along the coast, including playing in the park in Johnshaven (you're never too old right?), a really nice dinner and lots of laughter. Even actually saw some sunshine!
Then home in time to see Team GB knock the socks off every other country in the Olympic Stadium!
This is Jessica Ennis waiting to receive her well earned gold!
Jess, along with Greg Rutherford for the long jump and the wonderful Mo Farah in the men's 10,000m, proved for a small nation we have many athletes to be very proud of.
Our athletes, rowers and cyclists brought us seven medals today, six of which were gold. We are now third on the medal table and if you look at the population to medal ratio we are streets ahead of the leaders.
As a nation we have so much to be proud of and inspired by. Perhaps we can start to overlook the over paid premiership footballers and start celebrating the hard work and dedication of our wonderful Olympic team and our future sports men and women, who will be inspired by the greatest day in our Olympic history!
Am going to bed feeling so proud to be British and so glad to to be experiencing London 2012!
