A concrete love affair

Leicester's National Space Centre

Here is one of Leicester most iconic buildings, the 2001 National Space Centre right beside the River Soar north of the city centre. Its wrapped in a polythene bubble which shrouds several redundant launch vehicles.

Found myself over this way while taking car to garage, had an hours wonder which included Abbey park in the morning sunshine. In the park I saw three beautifully dressed Indian ladies each clutching deities I imagine they were about to place in the river.  Rather nice morning walk and I even got to work half an hour early...

Our Geordie friends are about to arrive for the weekend....
