Hockey fever on the smurf turf..

What a fantastic day at the Olympic Park on day 8. It succeeded all my expectations. The park was packed to the brim of people having a wonderful time. We had tickets for the women's hockey and sadly saw GB lose to China, 2 -1. Of course, I am disappointed for the hockey girls but the crowd was right behind them cheering them on to the final whistle. My blip today is my daughter Sophie and my niece Charlotte.

Our hearts and minds were also with my younger daughter Emma today who was part of the U16 girls Hockey England squad until she tragically passed away last year. A month before she passed away she had played for England in Valencia where she scored a goal against Germany. It was a moment I will never forget, I was and still am immensely proud. I have uploaded a pic of our beautiful Emma onto my blip folio. Just felt like sharing this today but as a wise blipper said she was with us in our hearts and minds all day:) as she is everyday :)

The stadium is going mad for jessica Ennis as I write this..I think we are all in awe of her talent over the last couple of days :)
