Nervous spider

This spider was a nervous, quivering wreck on Day 12 of AOG2016.

The day started badly when an injudicious commentator made a highly offensive remark about a mature spectator at the games.

This mature woman apparently ingested an insect, leaving everyone baffled as to why.
The brash commentator was heard to say

There was an Old Woman (sic) who swallowed a fly,
I don't know why she swallowed a fly,
Perhaps, she'll die?

The organisers immediately sought a cure for the poor woman and folklore has it that a spider might be the cure.

This is spite of the explicit warning on the medical instructions that the patient might feel a "wriggling and tickling and jiggling inside her"

You can imagine the panic at Camp Araignée.

This is turn sent the avian contingent wild; squawking and squealing as they flapped about.

Then the felines, usually calm and haughty, strutting around glaring at everyone, turned into a snarling, spitting, clawing, fur ball of fear.

From tabbies, to tortoise shells, from Bengals to Balinese, it was a pitiful sight.
