The Gasman Cometh 2…...

……it's Day 2 in the Big Brother house, see yesterdays blip for the first exciting instalment…….this morning there's lots of sawing, hammering and sotto voce  cursing……the corroded pipe they're trying to feed the replacement bendy one through appears to have multiple kinks and obstructions and the string keeps snapping…..the cats have holed themselves up in the dining dumping room for the duration……I'm holed up in the kitchen with a large flask of tea…….

EDIT :: (10.05) Carpet and floorboards up in the hall now…….

EDIT 2 :: (11.18) They're now onto Plan 3 (not entirely sure what Plan 2 was)…..cutting notches in underfloor joists for a new pipe I think…..I'm keeping well out of it…….

EDIT 3 :: (12.35) One is now running on gas! But I'll have to live with the hole in the garden path until Monday at the earliest. Total body count for a simple boiler service currently stands at 17……..
