Flower Friday and a report from the AOG
"Priscilla was exhausted after taking out the silver in the ‘Swaying in the Wind’ event at the AOG. Team Poppy with their long stems do very well at this discipline which is judged by frustrated photographers with their wide experience of these conditions. Priscilla gave it everything she had got but it was not enough to take out the gold which was won by a Snow Drop with incredible blur. Today was Priscilla’s last public appearance as she is ready to start raising a family of seedlings."
With rain forecast today I trundled out with the walking frame down to the local rose garden to look for a Flower Friday blip. It feels so good to be walking again – even though it is not far as yet. There are so many signs of the approaching spring now – daffodils, snowdrops, magnolias bursting out, camellias, dianthus, primulas and several more that I can't name. Iris’s are up and the roses are putting out new leaves - even though we are still getting hard frosts. It is all very heartening. You miss all this when in the car.
