Going up

The building that I work in is only 9 floors and it is dwarfed by all of the many new buildings going up in the area.

In this photo the buildings that you will recognise are the Gherkin,  30 St Mary Axe. It was completed in December 2003 and opened in April 2004. With 41 storeys, it is 180 metres (591 ft) tall and the other is the Walkie Talkie, 20 Fenchurch Street. Construction was completed in spring 2014, and the top-floor 'sky garden' was opened in January 2015. The 34-storey building is 160 m (525 ft) tall, making it the sixth-tallest building in the City of London and the in London. And as you can see they are building on the land near them.  We will have to wait and see what they look like and whether they also have a nicknames.

Busy day in the office and then we had a meeting in another building.  It was nice to go for a walk.

This evening I've completed a cardigan for a Teddy Bear.  Yes I did say Teddy Bear. I might blip it when she is modelling it.

Working from home on Friday as the car has its MOT.

And everyone liked the Lemon Drizzle cake
