Swishing

The butterfly reserve near to work is full of tall grasses and flowers at the moment. The lushness of summer growth causing them to sway in the breeze and create a calming swishing noise. I had a short wander there today at lunchtime. Butterflies flitted from flower to flower but I couldn't identify them all - some where fritillaries, others small whites. There are purple emperors here too but I didn't see any today.

This evening I went out on my bike again - on my old heavy mountain bike this time. I cycled up to my allotment to water some seeds and pick any courgettes that were growing too big - it is amazing how much they can grow in 24 hours.
