Restoration House

So called as on 28 may 1660 Charles 11 (2nd) arrived in Rochester on the eve of his restoration. He spent the night at this 16thC house, hence its name, before continuing to London to be crowned king.

The current owners of the house have spent the past two decades restoring the house and uncovering decoration achemes from the 17thC.

It is an amazing house. Unfortunately my photo is of the rear from the garden as the sun was over the front and i could not get a good picture. I like the chimneys.

The gardens are beautiful and i have added a couple of extras including one of the Victorian greenhouse.
