Some things never change
This morning we walked over Red Bank to Grasmere, and spent the afternoon at Dove Cottage, once the home of William Wordsworth, his sister Dorothy, wife Mary, Mary's sister and William and Dorothy's first three children.
Dorothy's journal, which she kept for three years, provides a fascinating account of their life. Here is a quote from her journal in the garden, which proves that even 200 years ago, people had some of the same problems as we do today.
The extra is my attempt at writing with a quill pen :-)
We walked back over Loughrigg and tonight we are going to eat at the village pub.
In complete contrast to anything from 200 years ago, here is a Brilliant music video which sarah just showed me.
