First batch

Well, I think my first batch was successful.  I've never done the sterile jar process.  Quite an ordeal!  Tomorrow's breakfast will tell the tale.  One of my favorite memories is helping my mother make pear preserves with my Aunt Alliene in the early 90's.  My aunt and I stood and offered advice and basically tried to tell my mother how to do it!  She just looked at us as if to say, "how many times have I made pear preserves?"  We had a ton of fun.
