Ripening Nicely

I was out early with Finlay so that I could get back and finish clearing the lounge and dining room before the carpet fitters arrived.

It was lovely and sunny but quite chilly and I was glad of a sweat shirt! Loads of blackberries ripening and loads of green ones too - looks good for some jam and crumbles later in the year.

I couldn't decide between this shot and a nice white bindweed flower which still had a splash of rain on it from overnight. So that is the extra shot today.

The rooms were cleared of furniture (apart form the sofa and chairs) and all the old carpet and underlay removed and loaded into the car.

Fitters arrived just before noon and ninety minutes later they were gone! Certainly didn't hang around.

I do need to trim the living room door now - the new carpet is a lot thicker than the old one and the door sticks, but that will have to wait for a decent day so I can do it outside.

After a trip to the tip to dispose of the rubbish, the long process of reassembling and reinstalling everything started. It's gonna take a while. Two days of babysitting loom so probably won't get much done at home.
