Detail on a rain stick
A rain stick is a hollow tube that has pins or thorns arranged helically inside and is partially filled with small pebbles or beans. When you turn it round it makes a sound which is similar to falling rain. They're believed to have been invented by the Aztecs and they're usually made from cacti. Rain sticks were played in the believe that they could bring rainstorms. Sorry I've been playing it recently... a rainstorm is coming our way...
A really busy day at work and no time for photography all day. In the afternoon the clouds gathered and it started to rain (blame the rain stick, haha!) so I had no inspiration whatsoever for photography. This was a bit of a last resort...
I was too tired to attend an open mic session happening in the evening. Scott came for a brief visit. Went to bed early as I was feeling exhausted.
Thanks very much for all your lovely comments, stars and hearts. I hope you all had a good day! :)
