Legoland - Take 2

Like last year, all the grandchildren got for their belated birthday presents from Grandpa was a lousy day at Legoland. Lousy for me as one of the first rides we went on involved water, lots of water and me being soaked to the skin. I have my son-in-law to thank. We were sitting in a boat which quietly meandered around a lake and for a bit of fun, people on the shore could use a hand pump gun to spray a little teeny weeny amount of water at you and similarly one had these pumps on the boat and could send back a dribble. Well I was sitting next to Barry and at some point he went to war with some 25 year old who had just been disqualified from the Russian Olympics Rowing 8 because he had unequal mass of muscles in his two biceps and couldn't row in a straight line. Similarly his aim at hitting his chosen opponent Barry was off the mark and it all came my way, every single drop of the water cannon. No drowned rat was ever as wet as I was.

However it actually turned out to be a great day. Weather was brilliant - warm but not scorching hot and we hardly had to queue up for anything. I think we all had a good time and thoroughly enjoyed it even if I was not allowed to join Elliot and Charlotte on the roller coaster rides - I had to look after the rucksacks and ensure the sandwiches didn't get squashed.
