Hard Times Ahead?
For years cries of the EU holding back milk production by keeping the system of milk quotas and driving the farming community to the wall.
OK so EU does away with quotas last year. What now, even bigger cries of the EU failing to control the explosion in milk production.and driving the farming community to the wall.
Well I guess all those undemocratically unelected members of the Lords with their huge estates, many on unproductive, economically useless grouse shooting moorland and highland and island scrubland will be overjoyed at the EU subsidies falling away and now the UK government can start to freely pour massive amounts in to maintaining the countryside - presumably the 350 million we now learn the NHS will not be getting every week.
