Medal Winner!

Team Chickadee took Silver at the Acrobatics venue this morning with this vertical climb with horizontal flourish, said to be the equivalent of a gymnast’s double layout with twist in terms of difficulty.  Little Percy Chickadee is young and only recently qualified to join AOG Team Chickadee so I think we can expect to see amazing things from him as he matures and I don’t think anyone would be surprised to see him in contention for Gold at the next AOG.
 
Team Squirrel is said to be at their training venue, actually being held against their will (this rumor may only be an attempt at dramatization of the situation) by their new Team Captain (the one recently arrived from New Jersey -- see blip of August 8) who was shocked, absolutely shocked, at their lack of discipline and team spirit.  He has made it very clear that his reputation is at stake in the task of turning the team around and he is not going to go back to New Jersey having the failure of a bunch of undisciplined squirrel duds on his record.   This reporter thinks that perhaps the squirrels were not paying attention.  We'll see.
