On the Top of the Podium...
...in the AOG, the Alternate Olympic Games.
Belinda the bovine was entered in the 100 meter dash against 7 other cows. She thought she could win, figuring her youth would serve her well. But, the crafty veterans had other ideas. The cow bell started the race.
Bessie started in. "Hey Belinda, you think we need more cow bell...DO WE NEED MORE COW BELL?"
"Leave me alone...I'm trying to race!"
As she was distracted, Beth edged ahead of Belinda, and dropped a "load" right into her path." Undaunted, Belinda plowed right through it. "NO AMOUNT OF CRAP WILL KEEP ME FROM MY GOAL!"
The race took forever. I could have written and illustrated a bovine book while they plodded on. Finally, Belinda crossed the line...IN FIRST PLACE!! The next question was...how would she handle herself during the national anthem?
In the top shot, emotions started to take over, but Belinda stuck her tongue out...drawing the attention away from her eyes.
But, in the middle shot...the Olympic experience struck her. "This...is...four...years...of...my...life." (WAIT! How can it be four years if I'm just over a year old?)
By the bottom shot, Belinda regrouped...and a big fat bovine smile replaced the sadness. Oh...the joy.
WAY TO GO #1130!!!!!!!
https://www.flickr.com/photos/76781400@N06/albums/72157671120528840 I had a good day at the county fair. I wanted to post a couple young men from our church who were showing sheep, but the lighting inside the arena was not good. Have a look at the other pictures.
Midnight, and I'm just posting. Too many pictures...too much of the REAL Olympics. Night-night.
