Exploring Montreuil

Today we did the big drive: 6 hours from Nantes to Montreuil, which turned out to be absolutely charming. We squeezed into a beautiful campsite, ate out in the freezing cold, forgetting that Northern France is really quite cool! Then we were kept awake until the wee small hours by a light and sound show to do with Les Miserables which was concluded with fireworks at about 1 a.m. It sounds terrible but was actually great fun. A fitting end to our holidays.
