West Dean Gardens

I went to West Dean for the first time today. Absolutely stunning Victorian glasshouses and walled gardens.

It had the feel of Heligan - you'd need a staff of 20 gardeners to run it properly. Definitely worth a visit if you're near Sussex (after my favourite, Uppark, but before Petworth which is IMO overrated (garden-wise)).

Had a flat tyre on the way back, but it was dealt with by gloop (technical term) that you inject into the tyre instead of changing it.

I have a bazillion photos of the gardens and am about to spend an enjoyable hour blogging about it. It makes such a difference knowing your photos are going to get out into the world.
