Perching

We have a strategically-positioned stick on the bird feeding station with the aim of photographing feathered (or furred) visitors in what should look like their natural environment. The woodpecker returned yesterday and sat on the the stick before moving to the peanut feeder but I wasn't quick enough to get a photo. After work today I spent a little while lying in wait for him but, of course, he didn't show. A wood pigeon did though so here he is, perching 'in a tree' ;)
