Over The Crown...Photo by The Queen?

Ok Ok This is the tippy top of the Crown Range, the alpine road that connects Wanaka to Queenstown… Wait…It is not the only road that does this so intending travellers don’t panic.
It was however the choice of The Bossess this morning who travels this route a lot and it is perfectly safe to do so as long as the road signs say.
You should not even think about it if they don’t as a number of “overseas” travellers have found after ignoring the signs on multiply occasions to the point that the road is now monitored and no chains when required = no progress. 

This is the highest sealed road in NZ and the views are spectacular but it is not recommended for those drivers that may have a tendency to drive on the wrong side of the road in this country while gazing out the window catching the view.
