Fragments and Residue

Day 1 at Bridge House Art in Ullapool. The course is called 'Fragments and Residue'
We went out on a bright but cold day to begin gathering ideas, working on small 4 inch squares of gessoed paper with graphite and pencil.
Haven't time to say much yet except...
I got very cold
I found the media difficult.
I was way, way slower than everyone else and am currently doing my homework to catch up.
Everyone else seems to have been before (some many times), or has come with someone who has.
Its a nice place.
