Subsidence

One carriageway of the A379 into Plymouth has been closed for about 
17 months while the Highway Authority saved up carried out "exploratory testing" before work proper began last April which is still ongoing and will be finished - sometime. The roadside has been reinforced and a section of this crosses a stream where there is a double arched bridge. The smaller  straddles the stream while the larger ( pictured) was simply for   horse drawn carriages on the private Kitley Estate.
