Shy Poppy
This wasn't going to be my Blip for today. After trying for a long time I couldn't upload a Blackberry phone photo!! Not sure why but it said it was too small.
The poppy was an early morning photo from a neighbours front garden. I took the long way round the estate to give C a lift to school and saw this beautiful garden full of poppies. I thought I should come back over the weekend to photograph them in the sunlight but now I have blipped one any way. The sprinklers had just given them a shower and I am not unhappy with the result.
It was really cold again this morning (-5 yesterday and -3 today at sunrise) but we had hot chocolate to drink in the staffroom. The morning started off cloudy but by lunchtime jackets were off and the sun was shining. CvH our principal came in late today as she was driving back from her sister's wedding in Nelspruit. It gave me the opportunity to get my office in better order.
When I got home Mr G needed me to prepare some quotes for him which took me a while. I missed out on finding a daylight Blip opportunity but I wasn't so concerned as I thought I would Blip our buffet supper at the clubhouse. We drove up on the golfcart to the clubhouse parking lot in the freezing night air to find we were the only crazy family to not use their car. But we love the golfcart!
I actually got a great photo of the dessert buffet table which wouldn't upload. I didn't want to take out my real camera. Then everyone would have known I was completely crazy!
We watched Chad le Clos win his silver medal in the 100m butterfly on the big screen in the Clubhouse. The crowd were very excited for him!
