Afternoon wander

I took off up onto the Port Hills for a couple of hours this afternoon. I found snow in the shadows on the northern slopes and a good dusting on the southern slopes.

The sun's warmth was mostly cancelled out by the wind. Further out on the peninsula the dusting was greater, and behind me on the mountains there's a fair old dumping of snow. No wonder the avalanche risk is high.

Then it was home to prepare a meal for my friend who is sick. I'll take it over tomorrow after work. And that about wraps up my weekend.
