Martha and Margaret

Back in 1989 we lived in Vermont for 6 months.  While there we met Martha and Wendell.  We left in March 1990 because we couldn't get jobs and that's how we ended up in New Hampshire.  Margaret had a brother, Andrew who was 18 months old and she was just a twinkle in their eye.  We have somehow maintained this friendship for nearly 27 years!!  Andrew is in a Doctorate program at MIT and Margaret is a young professional working for a company in India.  Sumner, of course is no longer with us.  The kids saw each other 1-2 times a year and were great friends whenever they did spend time together.  

We spent a wonderful 24 hours with them.  Margaret was delightful and very tolerant of us.  Martha and Wendell are like a brother and sister to us.  So comfortable and easy to be with.  Martha is a quilter and we spent hours going over her projects and sharing ideas.  I came home with lots of new inspiration and a few patterns too.  A perfect time spent with very dear friends.
