Birthday

Today was LP's first birthday. This is her lovely mum, AP.

Such a lovely family; kind, generous of spirit and welcoming. Hugs all round and a lovely celebration of love, family and children.

Cousteau was an angel, playing carefully around the small kids, and sitting still for pats when I needed.

Then he and I went for a stroll with one of their family friends by the river (I'd have easily got lost if I'd taken myself off for a walk), before heading back for more hugs, birthday cake and lots of laughter.

Rae and I have spent the day together and are set to spend the evening together also. Glass of vino in hand, and some processing to do.

I'm a happy Barking tonight; I've had a lovely day.
