Friday
Frances & Murray spent the day in Cambridge. I had a fairly normal day at work.
Murray went to bed because he didn't feel very well & Frances & I had a glass of Australian white wine. When C came home we picked a few marrows & courgettes for tea. I had a plastic bag wrapped around my ankle to protect the "wound" where the alien used to be. The chickens tend to think that the red spot is a scrumptious snack. The alien was ripped off by a chiken on Monday. It's healing well, even though my boss says it looks like a bullet wound!
C made a very tasty bake of marrow, gourgettes, sweet pepper & well matured mangetouts, which were forgotten on the vine, with a cheese sauce. It was enjoyed with an Alma Andina Torrontes from Argentina & a Domaine Ginestiéres Merlot from France
