Would You Like That Well Done?
Tonight was the culminating event of the annual NSEA (Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association) Salmon at the Bay celebration -- a salmon dinner with live music in the beer garden at Boundary Bay Brewery.
Our friends Andy and Connie drove us there in their Honda Fit (UK Jazz) -- a very well-designed car that we've been tempted to buy. We got there early, before it got crowded, although the place was filling up quickly.
Cynthia and I had taken our cameras (of course), but I was so involved in conversations with friends I hadn't seen for a while that I didn't take any photos until there was a strong smell of burning, accompanied by dense smoke from the grill. The flare-up was soon under control, and cooking resumed.
I could, and would have written a lot more about a very enjoyable evening, but it's almost time for me to turn into a pumpkin -- my computer has been misbehaving, and doesn't always acknowledge the presence of my camera memory card when I insert it. I might (or might not) add more to this on Saturday -- a few minutes away.
See Cynthia's account of the evening here. Nice photo of a beautiful salmon (and me).
Addendum:
Sammy the Salmon made an appearance, and I was able to get a quick photo before he roared off on his Honda 750.
