Me a swan?

This ugly duckling is almost there. Just getting his/her wing feathers, and trying them out.
Fortunately Mum and dad have still got 8 cygnets. None taken by the mink which is still around.

Lovely day spent at Rodley Nature Reserve.
Bright and breezy. Only caught a glimpse of a couple of butterflies.
No dragonflies at all. I think it may be because their habitat was washed away in the floods.
However the hides have now been rebuilt, and all the small ponds put back to how they were. All looking good, and fingers crossed no more floods this winter.
All the volunteers have worked so hard.
