The scene of the reversing falls
At St John's New Brunswick where the St John's River meets the Bay of Fundy, the tide will rise 26 feet 4 times a day. When the tide comes in the rapids here will be pushed backwards by the power of the ocean current, reversing the flow of the river. We were here today at low tide and will revisit on our return trip at the time the tide is high to see this phenomenon.
I am really enjoying the cool weather!!! Had a long walk after we settled in our hotel in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. We will be visiting PEI for two days, then on to Nova Scotia!
