Happy Birthdays!

We had a joint celebration of our 70th birthdays today, with our son and daughter in law. Mine a litlle late, Harvey's a little early. Lunch at Amberley Castle, a very special place with special prices, only possible for extra special occasions. Service, food, surroundings all absolutely wonderful. Even the weather was perfect for coffee and petit fours in the garden afterwards. It will be a long time before we go again, but we all thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the chance to celebrate together.

This peacock was strolling in the grounds but the heat was a little too much and he took refuge in one of the window ledges in the ruins which make the garden so picturesque.
