All the fun of Summer

A fine morning and so I took the opportunity to take some photographs of the community flower-beds cared for by the Nicer Newburgh Group. When I got there Graham, our head gardener, was already busily dead-heading.

Then in the afternoon we  headed to Collieston to enjoy their annual gala. One of the "extras" shows the sand sculpture competition in full swing. Mostly traditional sand castles but I was particularly struck by the octopus with seaweed arms, or is it a jelly fish?

In the other two of the village ladies (the one to the right being fellow blipper Lesley456) were busy selling herbs to help raise funds for the pier renovation.
