Went to the island of Shapinsay for a ramble today...just a small group of us, with perfect weather, so a grand day out.

My main blip is Balfour castle from the ferry.  Extras are our lunch spot, which was idyllic, and a porpoise in Kirkwall Harbour when we got back.  I've never seen a porpoise or dolphin in the wild, so was thrilled to see this.  Apparently some people had tried to lure it out to sea, but it seemed to be happy in the harbour, so hopefully it will be ok, and makes its way off when it has had a good feed.
