Carry that torch and light the flame within!!

Diversity. Unity. Born for Greatness.

These were the stand-out words that came to mind as I watched the colourfully spectacular Olympics opening ceremony in Rio, and witnessed the beauty of the wide variety of nations that have come together to form Brazil into the rich, diverse and beautiful culture that it is today. What a truly fitting place to capture the heart of what the Olympics is meant to be about.

So in the midst of all the negative press that keeps being publicised - rather than joining the critics who are turning up their noses at supposed "developing countless", I want to take the time to say this:

Well done Brazil for opening your doors to the world. Excited for what is to come, and ready to cheer on and be challenged by witnessing the dedicated athletes who have not only taken YEARS to dream and hone their athletic abilities, but actually dare to put their best foot forward and compete with the best. Inspired doesn't cover it - born for greatness indeed!!
