Why are the fishermen so tall in Hastings??

After the disappointing news yesterday about the house, today we picked ourselves up and took a bus ride to Hastings.  (I love having a bus pass!)  We walked along the seafront to the pier which has recently been restored after being damaged in a fire some years ago, down to the Old Town and fishermen huts. A good day.
